Seems clear to me that they're trying their hardest to keep Coronavirus in the news cycle until the election. They need the country to stay shut down as collateral for voting out Trump.

Can't help but notice that they switched to worrying about "infections" and suddenly stopped talking about deaths. Kind of gives the game away.
