During the first lockdown our business was deemed non-essential, but we decided we were essential since nobody bothered to ask us. We had visitors. Some wore masks, most didn’t. But nearly everyone agreed there was no way Newsom was going to set CA free. One camp knew it was political theater and one group thought taking away our rights was for our own good and once the experts got the virus under control we could slowly recover rights that recognized the inherent systemic racism that infects every aspect of the oppressive patriarchy and begin to dismantle it in such a way that white people can never again be allowed to exercise such dangerous freedom.
And just north we have Kate Brownshirt. I'm praying for light to come out of all this darkness. People are waking up, even here in Portland.
