Loss of taste is one of the main symptoms in adults. Even though I don't see it listed on many sites.

I never get sick have a super strong immune system but back in December the whole office got really sick. Guys were off for 3-5 days. I got sick one day sore throat, no taste and felt tired. I was back the next day no issues. pretty sure it went through here. Came from a coworker who caught it while in vegas.
