On Twitter, you aren't trying to convince the irate leftist. You are trying to convince the casual normie reading the comments. I think this would be effective. Be the sane, reasonable, friendly one. Which side would the normie want to be on? The people screaming their heads off or the people who seem chill and calm? I know what I would choose.

I would frequently get very irate with Twitter conversations, but it makes it so much easier when you think of them as literal special needs. That you know they're wrong, they're not working with a full stack and they're trying to pretend they are so be kind to them and give them proper information in small doses so you don't shock their peanut brains.
I have never heard so much lefty REEEing in my life, but they don't know how to take it and it's hilarious
I also started the conversation with something along the lines of "Wow, that's a really compelling argument, I think I'll vote for Trump now :) thank you"
Should have been some pushback on "defending neo nazis"
I got to that later, small steps to not overload the system my friend, read the other comments I posted explaining it
