Sad part is this is kind of missing the point.

something like 50% of the roadside FTTC cabinets that provide the majority of broadband services in the UK are from Huawei.

they were so much cheaper to buy than Alcatel/Siemens/etc that BT Openreach brought thousands of them - and let's face it, nobody is going to go and replace all of them now are they?
