Sessions was mostly terrible as AG but he was a great Senator. President Trump really needs to be reminded how important immigration is, and the only way to do that is to rebuke Kushner/Tuberville.

As senator he was the most hawkish about border security and keeping out illegals. Supported Christian's and was one of the biggest supporters of religious liberty and my default the nuclear family. You can count on him to stand up to liberals who want to transform society as well. I get his mistakes as ag, but as senator he'll be with trump. He isn't running as revenge like Romney
