It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning
-Henry Ford.
Unfortunately our average is only slightly better.
It's my understanding that Marx actually believes there is no such thing as human nature. He argued that the material world dictates the thoughts and actions of man. So you're pretty spot on except that you got one thing wrong, it's not that you have to be ignorant of it, it's that you have to actively deny it.
It actually can be refuted, these people always claim that the theory wasn't applied correctly, but luckily Marx gave them a ten step plan, go read the Manifesto, in that 10 step plan 5 of the step advocate for essentially robbing people and throwing them into gulags, the more innocuous sounding ones are about government control of all banking, transportation and communication
The application has always been spot on, people just never read the bullshit, they like to hear about the end goals, which no one will live to enjoy
He probably reads too much. If you read too much you figure out it doesnt work or make sense. Calling yourself a communist is broadcasting you are uneducated and lazy.
That's because it doesn't make any sense. There's no way to logically explain how communism works to anybody with half a brain and a few basic questions.
The only way communism works is if the peasants don't understand how it works.

I know, you were being snarky with the title OP but it is spot on.
Socialism of any kind requires a large investment in ignorance and stupidity to buy into.
Ignorance of history
Ignorance of politics
Ignorance of economics
Ignorance of basic human nature
And the stupidity to ensure you never realise just how ignorant you are.
You cannot be intelligent and informed and be a communist. Not all idiots are commies but all commies are idiots.
"Good ideology, wrong species," as someone once quipped.
FTFY.

It's easy, just ask how many millions must die? That's it, that's all there is to communism.
There is a world of difference between tenants and tenets.
If you can’t explain it, then you don’t understand it. Might explain why you you still follow it.

Setting aside the obvious criticisms, a good rule of thumb is that if you can't teach a concept to somebody else, you do not understand it.
Don’t you think that a philosophy that is difficult to understand is a stupid philosophy?
Just goes to show you how desperately people want to be part of the “intelligencia”.
I'm sure xir can explain the nuances of furry culture though.
This right here is why they attack instead of argue.
What makes a good commie? Somebody who read Marx.
What makes an anti-commie? Somebody who understood Marx.
He understands the tenants. Come see the violence inherent in the system.
The tenets, on the other hand - not a clue. Doesn't even know what it means.
Don't worry, it will all be revealed to you in time.
Spoiler, you will not like it.
If you can't explain the basic tenants, you don't know the basic tenants.
Communism is easy: You shut the fuck up and get back to work or the Komissar will have you shot.
yeah, no, i'm pretty sure people like this are exactly who marx had in mind when he proposed how he believes governments and economies should function
Cause they don’t make a damn lick of sense
He probably reads too much. If you read too much you figure out it doesnt work or make sense. Calling yourself a communist is broadcasting you are uneducated and lazy.
Someone who uses the word “tenants” when they intend to say”tenets” deserves no further attention.
Then you don't understand them.
That's because it doesn't make any sense. There's no way to logically explain how communism works to anybody with half a brain and a few basic questions.
Because they don't make sense.
ALL of Americans, yes all, MUST experience USSR to fully grok it. Until then ya'll are LARPers.
