I went into Costco without a mask and the employee at the door checking memberships went ballistic. I checked with corporate when this policy was enacted to see if I was welcome at all having a medical issue and they said medical issues are exempt. Back to the douche. He yelled at me “WHERE IS YOUR FACE COVERING” I said I cannot wear one. “SO YOU ARE CITING A MEDICAL ISSUE???” I pull out my inhaler and says yes, I have asthma. Fucking communist pricks.

Idontcare 528 points ago +529 / -1

Shouldn't have even taken your inhaler out, just saying 'I have a medical issue' they need to knock it off with that. You don't need to prove anything to a door monkey.

Exactly. Say “I suffer from two conditions: HIPAA and LAWSUITITIS”.

Don't say that lol. HIPAA has fuck all relation to anybody not working in the medical field

I suffer from AFS and can't wear one. What's AFS you ask? It's American Freedom Syndrome and wearing a mask causes me to lose my freedom boner.

Lack of freedom induced ED is a serious problem affecting men of all ages. If you've been exhibiting these symptoms... tell the doorman to fuck himself, drink a beer, and shoot some watermelon in the back yard.

HIPADA even?

Check your state's constitution and find something matching basic human rights and then just say you "have an exemption according to article x section y sub section z." These colossal retards don't even question it.

If you're in Florida, say Article I Section 2 or Article I Section 23.

59
residue69 59 points ago +59 / -0

I quote federal law all the time. The last thing anyone wants to hear is "I'm from the government." You can make it up as you go if you just read a little and learn bureaucrateeze.

I had to get an apartment complex to replace a leaking air conditioning unit. The manager told me they would do the bare minimum to keep the unit working till the lease expired, so suck it up. I quoted federal law and EPA regulations to them. Basically it says that if they knowingly refill a leaking system it's a $10,000 fine paid to the person who files the complaint.

I didn't lie, I just left out the part about the minimum tonnage of the unit and the amount it could leak annually.

Apartment managers are stupid. It was replaced that afternoon.

Nicely done. Suppose if we’re going to live under the yoke of an absurd regulatory system, might as well use it to your advantage once in a while.

Thanks! I live in FL and I have to wear that stupid mask to get into Walmart. I wear one of those cyclist masks which is good for dusts and these d-bags are ok.

5
Bax101 5 points ago +5 / -0

In Florida what does that cover?

5
Beef_Vegan 5 points ago +5 / -0

If you ask local officials, nothing as they believe their mandates are last say. There's probably more you could use but it doesn't take much for people to leave you alone. But here is the Florida Constitution:

If they need evidence tell them to talk to your lawyer. You just need his full information and details so that he can be served with a civil case.

I doubt a minimum wage employee would. If they do then you ask to speak to management. That you want a detailed report written out that the store employee has denied access to an American with a disability. That you want this information for a potential legal case. That you want the information for the legal department.

I doubt the employee will do it again. I doubt they will work there much longer. The ADA includes PTSD. You do not have to have gone through a traumatizing experience. if you believe that enforcement of masks negatively affect your mental health you can claim it.

Discrimination and failure to accommodate it is a huge liability.

HAHA ive seen a couple of "whyd this get a downvote?"

21
glompywompy 21 points ago +22 / -1

vote manipulation. when the post is in /new, someone will want their comment to show up "before" the other comments before the post goes "viral" so to say, so they get more fake internet points by being the comment on the top.

just ignore any downvotes that are less than 10% of the upvotes.

I think users that have below 90% upvote to downvote ratio should have their downvote ability denied until they get back above 90%. Gives leeway to disagree, disables cuck commies who come to stir up trouble.

I'm going to get one of those robotic voice box things and when they ask for my mask I'm going to put it up to my throat and say "Kshhhhht I have a medical condition." and watch them be like "Oh..."

I actually had to go into a grocery store for work (HVAC&R) and they asked where my mask was and I said I was just there to fix something and they were like "Oh okay nevermind." Hahahaha what the fuck?

I had an eye exam this week. They called me prior to and wanted to go through every single question on their covid check list. I interrupted her and told let's skip all that I'm perfectly healthy. She insisted on continuing, and I ignored her. She finally gave up and moved onto telling I needed to call ahead before I came in, and then she said oh by the way, we request that you wear two masks. Two masks! I laughed at her. Told her to cancel my appointment, and hung up on her mid-sentence!

NOTWOKE 9 points ago +9 / -0

Genius idea! I am going to copy.

41
Modus_Pwninz 41 points ago +41 / -0

I should have said I would do this, but in reality I'm just not going to places that require masks.

Instead of buying my $3,000 lawn mower at Menards (requires masks), I just went to Home Depot. No masks! Instead of going to Costco, we cancelled our membership and go literally anywhere else...

If they require masks state-wide in public, then we're going to have a problem because I am definitely going to get into some physical altercations. I don't tolerate busybodies and asking me why I'm not practicing Islam correctly per government fiat is a bad way to start a conversation...

13
swimminginthoughts 13 points ago +13 / -0

I like home depot as an alternative to menards. Never shopped there before all of this. Probably won't stop when it's all over!

8
No_Malarkey_Joe 8 points ago +9 / -1

Alex Jones just tells the employees to let their manager know that it's perfectly fine if they want to enforce their mask policy but he won't ever be coming back to do business with them.

Just found this when seeing if it’s legal to film someone at Costco. Since it’s a membership required store, I was just curious if members were entitled to an expectation of some privacy. Here is what their website says:

“Individuals and businesses who wish to film, photograph, or broadcast at any Costco location must simply fill out a Media Request Form. ... If approved, we'll also ask that you submit a "Costco Filming Agreement."

Wonder if these mask shaming assholes have a filming agreement (they don’t). Why does Costco allow some of their store rules to be broken but not others?

54
HungNavySeal300Kills 54 points ago +54 / -0

Exactly. You have no legal right to film on private property. The manager if he does show up should kick that guy out of the store and ban him for following and harassing customers.

The woman should've just walked away with her mom if she could. It's key to demonstrate this person is physically pursuing you, and do not engage in conversation in any way except to make specific declarations like "stop following me. You are making me uncomfortable. Please stop following me."

Follow those two steps then go ahead and skip the manager, call directly to the police. Or shoot the fucker dead.

11
alanlovestea 11 points ago +11 / -0

Now, the woman can sue Costco for the damage the man made on her because costco failed to enforce it's own store policy.

4
Tywappity 4 points ago +4 / -0

There's no damage here. Hopefully this woman has forgot about it and moved on. Don't give these morons the satisfaction.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. Paraphrasing Mark Twain.

4
Dres 4 points ago +4 / -0

Part of what also steps into this is whistleblower law ( or some called close to that ) in respect to the exact state. Some states are more than one party consent ( lady being filmed must agree ). Some states are one party consent ( Lady being filmed doesn't have to agree). Part of this is also store policy, private party, public, etc.

5
Roadrash 5 points ago +5 / -0

Consent laws don’t have any weight when in public as there is not reasonable expectation of privacy, and I don’t think there is anything legally that can be done to these people. But, if a store has their own rules/guidelines, the question is why are some ok to be broken/ignored while others are enforced.

Interesting to see if Costco, and other paid membership clubs, are considered public or not. If they’re considered public then I suppose the respective states consent laws would apply, but I don’t know how anyone can argue they expect privacy in a Costco. Intriguing

TheTPL 1 point ago +1 / -0

That reminds me of directions on some Military bases, and by God some are strict as all hell about it. Malls can be like that too.
