The ADA act can be issued against private businesses. IE retail stores, restaurants, etc.
Ask to speak to the manager, if they still want to play hardball, just inform them you are filing a complaint. Get all relevant information fill in the blanks. They'll stop that bullshit immediately after the first fine.
Make them look like assholes. Just sit down and make them calling the police. and as soon as the police show up just leave of your own volition. If enough people did this they'd have to either shut down entirely, or stop being gay. Either way is a win for us. If you have an hour to spare, do it with no intention of buying anything just to make a point.

The cops would get so annoyed with Karens calling them that they'd just stop responding or would tell the store that 911 is only for real emergencies and to stop tying up operators and limited resources with nonsense. And since the store people can't physically touch you they'd pretty much have to just tolerate it.

That's medical descrimination. Threaten to sue. Ask for a manager. These companies are risk averse (hense why they're even doing the mask thing, dont want lawsuits).

Not sure where you were, but that would be it for me. I would never go back there again. There are too many other places to spend my money.
