Lansing is pretty rough as things are. Unfortunately being right next to MSU many students/graduates live in or work for the city. They are sheltered and have no idea what goes on in this city. Frequenting the gentrified areas, not seeing all of the homeless tents in the woods or the violence in the more sketchy neighborhoods.
