It is . If you're careful and get the right nutrients you're right. Since anorexia is there too she had a problem and was not. It is high up on the things of ecologically conscious things you can do to reduce your bio-footprint.

We're not really evolved for it, and it seems it likely isn't good for kids (and presumably pregnant women not restricted be morning sickness). They need to be omnivores for ideal development. Considering how fatty brains are, needing fats to build them right seems logical; and not all fats are the same. In particular it looks like kids should eat more fish; who's oils.are widely recognized to have a health benefit.

Some people are allergic to meat. It’s ok to not eat meat.
