I'm an attorney and when I see "assembled a team of 600 lawyers" I wouldn't even read that as "on retainer" - just that they're registered and vetted and have some time cleared in their schedule in November. You could have one large national firm on retainer and that's 600 lawyers. But just paying them to sit around would be half a million a day or more for even a group of hobos, so this is just chest-puffing at the moment.
