He could have retired and lived an extremely cushy life. Instead he chose the hardest job in the world.

You pretty much have to be an egomaniac to think you can even be president... It really is the world's hardest job. To think you've got the balls and the mind and the work ethic takes the biggest balls imaginable.

Anyone can talk the talk when they're being fed their lines via teleprompter (see: oBUMmer).

It takes a sharp-witted intelligent man to keep his wits about him free-styling speeches for hours at multiple rallies a day.

It also takes a very special kind of man to not only stand by his views through an onslaught of adversity, but to remain level-headed through it all and to steadily keep accomplishing his goals in the background even with the persistent adversity against him.

For someone to possess both that keen mind and that indomitable will, as well as the resources to fully utilize his rare talents, all without any desire for eternal political power (as seen by Trump regularly diminishing the President's personal power by restoring checks and balances at the federal level while returning excess power back to the state/local levels)? That's something you're lucky to see once in a century.

This is why I voted for him... he has a brand of excellence to maintain! I can imagine him saying after 8 years, “I fixed everything for you ungrateful fuckers and brought about world peace... now leave me alone while I go play some golf!”

Trump's not an egomaniac at all. He has swagger and his own style of bragging but generally it's about framing something in a positive way and not about putting himself over. For a guy as accomplished as he is I find him remarkably humble TBH.

He's also a New Yorker at his core and that explains most of his personality. People from New York brag about being from New York- as if that is some unique quality.

An egomaniac wouldn't take on the Deep State. Quite the opposite. An egomaniac would endeavour to ingratiate himself with the Deep State and corporate media. Just like Obama did. Obama is the egomaniac.

Trump is fighting the entire machine for the common good. Trump is not an egomaniac - he is a Champion.

Depends on the agenda of the MSM. Obama had it easy.

This x100 - watch a presser with Obama, the media clowns jerking him off one after another, all the while increasing his celebrity status and net worth. Who wouldn't want that job?
