My guess: This was both a 2024 test run (getting a personal feeling for what's involved in running on a 3rd-party ballot) and a "shock to the system" meant to startle/spook/scare the Democrats into publicly revealing their racist beliefs against black people and their mass-disbelief in God.
I mean, Kanye announced his run on JULY FOURTH for God's sake. If he was being serious, he would have announced it on July 4th LAST YEAR (if not earlier), when all the states were still accepting candidate entries for several more MONTHS rather than the weeks/days after Kanye's announcement this year.
If nothing else, it should help confuse/split/flip the God-fearing/family-loving moderate-Democrat black vote.
