But there was never a claim that the spread of the virus would stop. It was two weeks to "slow the spread". Everyone, sooner or later, will come into contact with the virus. Some will die, most won't. What is the point of masks? If they work as you say they do (I don't believe they do), then you're just delaying the inevitable.

You're having a really difficult time grasping what the masks and the shutdown are REALLY all about, aren't you. I don't wear a mask not just because I don't believe they work, even though I don't. It's because it's a symbol of tyranny. Every time you strap one on, you're telling the Left, "We'll do whatever ridiculous thing you want...no questions asked."
Their dream is to see everyone walking around with the compliance flags on their face. Then when the Left demands another economic shutdown and exclusive fraud-by-mail "voting", they know everyone will go right along with it in the false name of safety.
No, wearing a cloth mask does not filter the actual virus in any way. Only respirator masks and above offer any actual protection.
Show me any doctor that is dealing with a virus that uses a cotton mask as protection.

I have had one single solitary 25 cent paper mask I have used exclusively since mid March because my state requires businesses to force customers to wear them inside. I am sure it is soaked with the germs of every one of the hundreds of places I've been in and out of for months now, as well as those of the probably thousands of people I've been near during that time. The mask requirement is stupid and counter productive.
Unless you have a perfect seal they do nothing. Anyone who wears glasses and a cloth mask will tell you that your glasses will fog up. The air follows the path of least resistance. All they do is restrict the amount of clean air you can breathe.
Or anywhere really.
Or left with no option. Many employers mandate it or live somewhere that mandates it for workers.
I think anyone who cares what other people are wearing is just looking to complain about something
