As an engineer, there is no reason to bother debating the science if the entire premise is flawed to begin with.

That's true, except if the entire premise is that masks work to prevent disease transmission.

If that's the premise, then the science matters; it's the sole useful tool to test the truth of the premise.

As it happens, the science is abundant and conclusive in destroying that premise as bullshit.

Were you considering a different premise, though?

I've heard of herd immunity being promoted, but I'm not sure how that would go. Because no one can be confident that they're believing the "absolute truth" about CV-1984 thanks to all the open, obvious, deliberate lying from the so-called "experts", and their numbers manipulation and commingling flu and pneumonia-caused deaths with CV-1984, and hysterically flip-flopping from NOBODY HEALTHY NEEDS A MASK, YOU IDIOTS, SAVE THEM FOR THE HOSPITAL WORKERS to EVERYONE MUST WEAR THE MASK, OR WE ALL DIE A MISERABLE DEATH SUFFOCATING IN OUR OWN PHLEGM.

I get it but I don't glare at them because they're not science majors. It's not their fault they've been lied to. I pity them. They have to go by what seems to them like the most prevalent medical opinions.

It's unfortunate, because that medical opinion is deeply flawed, dangerous, even potentially lethal to the public. But it's carved in deep, rude ripples in the tissues of their mind. And I don't think I'm good enough at public shaming to get someone to drop what feels to them like 20 doctors at the top of medicine all saying to wear the microbe-contaminated cloth over their mouth or else they're murderers.

They're brainwashed by trusted yet horrifically, inconceivably evil people in long white priestly robes. Amazing how often that happens.

Which state is the state?
