The problem of using the true definition of conservatism as a litmus test against Ivanka of Jared is you must therefore also apply it to Trump. A true conservative would not be in favor of writing government checks to people or for more government stimulus. Those are not conservative ideas. Trump is not a true conservative. He’s a populist. He believes in doing what’s right for America and Americans. If that means being conservative here and a little bit liberal there then that’s what he does. Trump is the perfect balance.
