This would be true if all links between our cultures would be cut. But of course they're not colonists, they're trading knowledge and skills for resources in a mutually beneficial exchange. The African continent has billions of people that can contribute to the wealth of the world, that more of them will be in the role of say manual labor than the managerial positions is unfortunate but not a death sentence. Capitalism will make them rich as well.

What are you talking about? Things are bad enough there's no need to slander and I don't understand what's supposed to be gained from that.
I'm talking about years of experience working in development in sub-Saharan Africa which leads me to be highly skeptical of your worldview.
