Read the story. It does not add up unless the cops were not willing to shoot the mob and just let them mob kill them. All the police had firearms and some may have had ar15 locked up. They could have easily shot a few hundred rioters and the rioters would have ran away
This is just a tactic by police to force the city to pay them without them having to work. I don’t blame them. I wouldn’t want to work for leaders who order me not to do my job, nor would I want to police a community that hates me and plans ways to kill me.

They need to arrest the mayor if they want respect from the citizenry.
