We really need age limits for the Supreme Court. Can anyone here think of an 80+ year old relative they would want making nation wide binding legal decisions?
I had 5 grand parents (modern American family) and the most “sane” of those is a cranky old Norwegian Korean War vet who swears at just about everything and regularly discharged handguns in his garage for fun. Not an ideal candidate.
Age related neuro cognitive decline is a fact of life. There needs to be something; a test of cognitive ability, a mandatory retirement age, some kind of limiting factor.
