I got pulled over for 97 in a 70 on rural I-10. When the trooper came up I told her I thought speed limits were suspended during Corona. She laughed. Our licenses have a decal on them if you're a veteran, so she saw that and my clean record and realized I'm one of the good guys.
Then she said she's on field training and there's no way she can let this one go. I said I totally understand, I just like to drive fast and I have a cool car and so on. She wrote me up for 89, saved me a few hundred bucks. I do like the empty roads.

You can't be charged for something that isn't a law on the books. Governors and mayors can't make law. They might try to charge you with something else, but the threats of fines and jail time are just to scare people.
What's really hysterical is that her mask appears to have an exhale valve, meaning that her breath bypasses the mask totally. That type of mask is solely meant to "protect" the wearer. When I thought the main justification for wearing masks to begin with was to protect others FROM the wearer.
I agree with this. In Oklahoma, the only 2 towns to pass mask orders are the college towns which rake in $$ off the kids getting PIs and DUIs.. but the kids aren't here right now, so they need a new source of income.

The mask order states that businesses caught not enforcing the mask orders get a $500 fine for disturbing the peace and not following health guidelines. If an individual is asked to leave a store for not wearing a mask, and they call the cops, you can be charged with criminal trespassing and disturbing the peace.
And the orders are in place until November 30!! Crazy. So when the college kids do get back, if they aren't aware, they will find out quick.

So, even if the person who 'violates' the mandate cannot be prosecuted, the casinos will pay up to keep their doors open. This also goes for regular businesses who are being fined for not 'enforcing' these masks.
