Here's what you do.

Get yourself a InstaPot.

Buy a big bag of rice from Costco and a big box of Goya black beans cans from Costco.

Use the included cup with the InstaPot to put in 2 cups of rice. Fill the InstaPot to the number 2 line with chicken stock. Add a spoon of minced garlic.

Push the 'quick rice' button.

Come back 20 minutes later when the rice is done and add 1 can of Goya black beans. Mix everything together and let sit for a few minutes.

Enjoy some damn good rice and beans.

the "rice" button on my instant pot makes it function as a normal rice cooker, slow heat.

There are separate instructions for pressure cooking rice, and you can do it in about 4~5 minutes. The rice will not be quite as nice as the slower method, but its an absolute life saver when you are super hungry and short on time.
