I could see the plausibility of this in the beginning ONLY. It became very clear not even halfway through his tenure that the Mueller probe was a coup.
He could have unrecused and exposed the whole mess with an investigation of his own. Either he was/is swamp or a bagless coward.
He took the job knowing he'd recuse himself. That should not be forgiven. That single decision cost us the first two years, the most important years of Trump's Presidency.
“How do you take a job and then recuse yourself?” Mr. Trump said in the Oval Office interview. “If he would have recused himself before the job, I would have said, ‘Thanks, Jeff, but I can’t, you know, I’m not going to take you.’ It’s extremely unfair, and that’s a mild word, to the president.”
Admittedly this is conjecture on my part but i find it extremely hard to believe didn't have his mind made up to recuse himself before he accepted being AG. The Russia hoax was already in full swing when he became AG and he had to have come to the conclusion to recuse beforehand. Maybe i'm wrong but i don't think so.
Sessions got screwed by FBI lawyers who advised that he recuse in the Russia investigation.
The same FBI lawyers who turned out to be swamp criminals.
Sometimes sh*t happens.

Agreed 100%.

I swear man some people here are total saps.
"He took the job knowing he'd recuse himself."
You have any proof of that?
I've seen no proof of that.
I'm basing it on this quote from President Trump.
