Admittedly this is conjecture on my part but i find it extremely hard to believe didn't have his mind made up to recuse himself before he accepted being AG. The Russia hoax was already in full swing when he became AG and he had to have come to the conclusion to recuse beforehand. Maybe i'm wrong but i don't think so.
