When resident flight begins in places like this and the places that defund police, it will be interesting to see how fast these pos leaders demonize those that fled when these cities start looking like Liberia or Yemen. Tax base will go away and these places will be screaming for federal aid $ louder than ever.

It's also ironic that it's one of the most white towns in nc, with only 11% of the population being black. It's a great example of a white guilt town that really doesn't want to live near black people, but will throw money, or in this case, "reperations" to keep them on their side of town.

Every municipality has a large % of their budget dedicated to massive public pension payouts. Now, they'll have another % of their budget allocated to funding "black advancement" projects
At some point there will be some taxpayers who receive zero to little benefit to paying taxes -- it will all be going to rent-seeking interest groups.
