I have to say I have way more respect for him after he lost and still backed Trump. Few and far between. He still almost killed the Trump residency though. He should have walked din to the DOJ and said I want all info on this investigation- start documents and everything else. If I feel I need to recuse I will resign but I want to see everything.
I honestly think he wanted to do the best, but something Deep-state must have gotten to him. Maybe a phone call in the middle of he night saying to recuse himself or they'll "find" child porn on his families/brother/kids computer. Or that his parents will get into an "accident."
I believe something spooked him when he got to he top, and he wasn't strong enough to handle it. Not many are.
Frankly I think he just didn't have the grit to handle the job, didn't understand/recognize the scope of what was going on, or a combination of both.
It's entirely possible, despite being a senator for 20 years, the man never became intimately familiar with the swamp. And just like you'd hire a bayou local to help hunt gators, you need a guy who understands the swamp in order to navigate it.
He dropped the ball on a lot of really important stuff, and went really hard on things that were much less important. Can't remember all of it, but it's hard to say where his head must have been at? If he was in the Left's pocket, he would have had a book out by now. "101 reasons why Trump is orange, and if you don't vote for me - you're not black." Or something. He seemed more afraid to me, than anything. Didn't have a backbone to face the big problems, so busied himself with stuff noone heard about or cared about? Then called it integrity? Maybe someone got in his head with a bunch of rationalizations and garbage? Was weird.
Still, at least he's going out with some real integrity here.
To his credit, Jeff Sessions didn't pull an Ann Coulter and bash our Leader.
President Trump ought to toss him a bone.
Appoint him to a do nothing committee.
Jeff Sessions is a man of integrity, and honor. His only fault is not realizing how evil the opposition was, and not standing taller against them to defend the America First mission. He didn't have a place in the executive branch, but he would have been a strong ally in the legislative. I find him inspiring and wish him the best in his next endeavors.
I got nothing but love for Jeff Sessions. To all the haters, please realize that now is the time to move on. You can make the argument he was a bad AG, but you can't make the argument that he is a bad guy or was a bad Senator.
He screwed up by recusing, but I think he was trying to play by the old rules. I’m almost certain he didn’t understand Dems don’t play by the rules. It’s hard to actually dislike him. Seems like a legit good guy, but we need people that know how to fight fire with fire. Edit-spelling error
All he had to do was apologize to Trump privately and make meaningful amends publically. I would have preferred him to win but he needed to make amends to Trump and the nation
Seems like a truly classy guy. Maybe he really felt he should recuse himself? He made a huge mistake, but it DID unveil just how deep the swamp really is. The Lord works in mysterious ways. In my book, still backing Trump redeems him. He knows he failed us. Hindsight.

Ya, I didn't want to admit it, but that was a classy move worthy of some respect. You gotta call 'em both ways.
Yep. No doubt about it. I swore he was going to turn on Trump. Hey maybe he could make him top cop at SDNY! lol. #FUCKBERMAN
Some fuck ups you just can't come back from. Sessions made such a fuck up. Better that he go back to quiet life and enjoy his grandkids.

I think it's good that he burned out early. I doubt he would have had the balls to go all the way as Barr is doing.
The jury is out on whether Barr is going all the way
What did he do? I'm out of the loop.

He was a good Senator. Just from a pre-trump political landscape.
Good person, just not the aggressive AG Trump needed.
Agree, may he be content that he finished this battle with utmost respect. But he has to show more gut if Trump gives him another post.
Yep
To his credit, Jeff Sessions didn't pull an Ann Coulter and bash our Leader. President Trump ought to toss him a bone. Appoint him to a do nothing committee.
Yep
That sounds like a lot of responsibility for the little Keebler Elf.
Maybe if Barr doesn't work out he could be AG.

Yep. After all those years in politics how could he not know what the Democrats would do. He was bamboozled
Or possibly threatened. Who knows what goes on behind the scenes in the swamp.
...I get the feeling his opponent will nit be as good as he is to Trump...
Trump can't reward the people that betray his trust.
Otherwise everyone will backstab him whenever it suits them, beyond the chaos we see now.
This is very important to understand. I agree.
Trump vs, the Zodiac was a blood bath but Cruz humbled himself to turn it around with Trump.
It's up to Sessions from here.

Yep. We need to put the past behind and focus on the future. Trump 2020
He wasnt there when we needed him most.
Forgive and forget
I believe in the ability of humans to repent if they truly wish to. I guess it goes for more than just religion. I hope that's what this is.
Now he just needs to follow the Lion Ted Cruz redemption path.
Step one: Grow a beard.
Step two: Embrace the Keebler Elf meme like Ted did with Zodiac.
Step three: Start calling out liberal hypocrisy daily.
It's never too late to board the Trump train!
Yep

“I followed the law, I did the right thing, and I saved the president’s bacon in the process, Sessions said...."
Uh, since Trump is actually innocent of the bullshit the coup plotters threw at him, he really didn't need his bacon to be saved now, did he?
What else could he say?
Nothing
All he had to do was apologize to Trump privately and make meaningful amends publically. I would have preferred him to win but he needed to make amends to Trump and the nation
YEAH! Get rid of pussies! Dicks only!
Before you downvote this, read the user name.
I want a redemption arc for this man
If he won he'd be stabbing Trump in the back like Romney
True dat
REMEMBER: He swatted Biden's hand away from his granddaughter.
He was for sure Sleeping at the wheel as AG, at least he still supports GEOTUS.
I wish he did more. I don't dislike Sessions and don't have any ill will towards him.
How long before he “writes” a book?
Now we will get Amnesty Tuberville. Great job everyone, you’re all idiots.
Seems like a truly classy guy. Maybe he really felt he should recuse himself? He made a huge mistake, but it DID unveil just how deep the swamp really is. The Lord works in mysterious ways. In my book, still backing Trump redeems him. He knows he failed us. Hindsight.
Eat soap, Keebler.
No disrespect to Trump, but it's not like there's even another viable option for someone that's not a self-destructive child molesting commie.
Sessions is a keebler elf, but I will commend him for his gracious defeat. At least he didn't go all "Resistance" like the rest of the losers.
Exactly. He did not burn any final bridgeS
Sessions is a good man. He just didn't have the balls to stand up to the swamp.
Just never kniw in politics. And Sessions did. Not burn any bridge
Actions speak louder than words, sessions is a mess! Just like Jeb!
Fuckin better....
If he believed that then he should've helped it by not letting the Left make a mockery of the DOJ that he was put in charge of.
Exactly!!
Sessions is not the enemy. Stop disparaging him.
Trust muh sessions.
Edit: trolling is fun!
