Twitter is mankind's worst invention.
Social media was absolutely amazing in the beginning. The threat it created caused it to be taken over and turned into a toxic hell hole.
It deserves attention. A great book and documentary of the stories. Very powerful and it could help everyone understand that change is needed.
More likely that everyone was suckered in, and then when they had critical mass on a site the owners were able to enact their evil plans.
The power of people in a cohesive environment is astounding. They solved murders, mysteries and found missing people. We shouldn't depend on news and government. It should be labeled a public utility.
The original social networking was good. But that ended with myspace. Social media is propaganda.

Social media overall has been a net negative to society.
Other than being able to easily invite people to events and share photos of your kids/pets, it brings out the absolute worst in humanity.
I would not even consider those positives. The first one makes it even easier to scam people, and the second has fueled a the massive and growing pedo problem in the world today.
