Except they probably were able to harvest phone #, email address, and other billing info for probably everyone doing this. Anyone that promotes their tweets probably has an issue to worry about.(brands mostly)

The BTC spam was just icing on the cake, the other info was the valueble part.

Tbh these hackers probably are the same people behind that huge bot network that was posting comments faking Elon Musk (same profile pic , same everything) and posting under every Trump tweet for 2 months. I reported this to twitter but they kept allowing it for a long time, now this. It somehow looks connected to me. Same writting in the scam messages, but different MO.
