One gay couple in the news? You do know there are straight couples that abuse their kids, and a sickening amount of fathers in straight marriages who rape or sexually assault their children.
But it's a great coincidence that it happened to the one in the news isn't it?

It's not that rare. Unfortunately there are many pedophiles and abusers in this world. Don't forget about the biological parents that beat their children.
You would think that if they're biological parents they'd be hardwired to never harm their children, but unfortunately that's not the world we live in.
At least 2.9 million child abuse cases a year in the US. The statistics get broader when you see how many are ignored and not counted because social workers have too many cases/ignore it.
