Yes, I believe in personal responsibility. I believe everyone should be responsible for their actions not because they fear God, but because they want to live in a better world, and the best way to change it for the better is to change yourself, work hard on yourself.
I am agnostic about God, I believe he likely exists, but whether or not the church is right about their teachings is unclear. You can see how easy it is today, even with all of the information available, to trick people into believing something is right or wrong. You can see how easily people believe propaganda.
With that experience of human psychology, I believe it would be very easy over the course of hundreds of years for priests and the catholic/christian church to manipulate the religion into something that keeps them in power, not something that spreads the truth. I do not believe the christian religion would have prevented the leftist movement, as evident of all the pedophiles who work in the church, and all of the christian churches that support movements like BLM.
There is only one source that is the Bible which contains God's Holy Word. Church is to be a gathering of brothers and sisters in Christ. Christian is derived by those that are to be Christ-like.
Catholic/Protestant or whatever label is being used doesn't matter to me. God's Word is the beginning and end of it.
Revelations is a good point to start at when dealing with these times now.
Jesus said it in the book of Matthew Chapter 13 in his parables to the crowds.
We are to act like Christ therefore we should study His character.
Working hard on yourself while continually praying, studying, and living God's Word is the best way in my opinion. I am starting to understand Matthew 7 far more lately.
Nope. I know it because I am not in a Gang, I am not dead, I am not trying to destroy others, I am not an arsonist, and I am getting my emotions back.
I lived in a gang neighborhood with the chances of me entering one being high. I had my Grandparents help, but they can only do so much. It was more common to see drug addicts, hookers, and shootouts in that neighborhood. It was about as common as Chicago is now. Chances to die were high. Chances to get on drugs at the age of 7-9 were above average. Getting attacked by rabid dogs that were bred to rip a person apart were a common sight. I grew up in that neighborhood for 11 years. I nearly got ran over on a weekly basis, poisonous snakes loved all the crevices and holes in the area, fire ants were so common that even the exterminators could do nothing(trust me when you hear a person being bitten by hundreds if not thousands it does not leave you no matter what).
That is just the light portion. There is the arsonists, the drag racing, the gang fights, and drug dens. There was one time a human trafficking route before being changed because of too many witnesses.
Murder rate is higher than property damage, one of the highest ones in Illinois per capita with Chicago being higher because of the amount of people.
Then there is the times that I went through high winds, got in multiple car wrecks with one of them being a 3 three way hit when I was 6. Not a scratch while everyone else had cuts, bruises, or needed to go to the hospital for stitches. The hit was by a full ton truck going over 30 while the car I was in got flung over another car that was going in the opposite way which was stopped before that hit.
There is so many instances I should have died. These instances were not maybes, but literal high percentages that I should have died. I barely got scathed by all.
There is just literally too much. I am dense to some things, but I know for certain there IS a God. He is the one that Jesus is the Son Of.
Yeah, just because you think there's a god, doesn't mean Christianity is the one true religion, and that the christian church never manipulated documents and the bible in history.
I can GUARANTEE you there's a muslim on the other side of the world that has some crazy survival story just like you, and they attribute their life to the "wonderful" Mohammad and the fact that they've survived to the Islamic faith.

Sure, but you only know it's the word of god because other humans told you it was.
