There’s so much child abuse in the foster system by straight people that I don’t give a shit about the small population of gay men that are pedophiles in regards to the rights of gay people in general being able to adopt children.
Lock up the pedophiles, yes. Improve the policies for adoption and screening, yes. But for a couple wanting to adopt a kid, a couple with no prior history of violence or sexual abuse, who have a stable job and home, should be able to adopt a kid.

If homosexual men make up less than 1% of the population but committ 30% of child rape, then that seems very unlikely.

Yep, I think it would be in a child’s best interest to find a home instead of being bounced around in the foster system. There’s a lot of abuse in the foster system. Only a heartless bastard would ignore the statistic of abuse and neglect of children in the foster system.
