If the majority of HOA's weren't run by people that have more time on their hands than they know what to do with, which leads to them being micromanaging busybodies that make everyone else's lives miserable, people wouldn't mind them. They serve a purpose but I'd rather deal with the one guy down the street with a poorly kept up house than have Karen on my property throwing a hissy fit and threatening to take my house away because something is a few inches off and this is the third time she's noticed. (But only the first saying anything or notifying me in any way)
