I wouldn't let the PC horseshit be what keeps you away, Walrusend. I've been there twice, and would love to go again, if it didn't mean going through DC to get there. There's more American history there than you can imagine. And I haven't even been through the Air/Space Museum yet!

Air and Space museum and Natural History museum are both cool. African American and American Indian museums are full of SJW hot garbage.
