People hyphenate because the left wants them to be differentiated. I have long decried the fact that, with a white father and a black mother, I have to “identify” as black, or I have to “identify” as African-American. Man, I have never been to that trasher of a continent, and I have no intention of ever going there. I’m an American. No hyphen. It’s the left that won’t accept that.
