Yeah that's illegal, look for a job.

That does achieve vacuum.

Freelance...find 'specialty' sort of employer who isn't major company maybe.

Yeah, does achieve vacuum. That's actually why we started our own small business years ago, we were tired of the big corps buying up small companies and then changing them.

We are probably the smallest company in our area doing what we do, and we out-perform the big boys all the way around. When my Lovely Wife's last small company employer was bought out she was offered an attractive package, they needed her expertise and knew it. It was tempting in that the money was pretty good, security looked good. But corporate atmosphere, corp rulez, corp insanities.

She said no, we started working on opening our own biz. They sued us, threatened vendors and customers, tried to destroy us with price wars. But we played it straight, concentrated on being better in every way and became known for NOT being one of the corporate big boys. We took care of all the little details, each customer was important to us, we invested ourselves into every aspect of being Open for Business. People loved our Services and products, new customers would come in and be so happy to not have to deal with those guys.

I actually used our sign board out front to thank one of their managers as being our best outside sales guy once, because he was mentioned by name often as people would come in complaining of how they were treated over there.

Anyhow, yeah I know it's a real deal, figger out a way, you'll be so much happier if you leave those guys behind. When you leave them behind, I mean.

That's pretty fucked when members of Congress can literally engage in insider training and accept gifts for favorable legislation.

Yea you're right, I should walk away from a high paying job as a sole provider with no plan or forethought so some smart-ass on the internet can't talk about my screen name. What a moron you are. Its a founding father quote go look it up.

It’s seems all laws and regulations are just “suggestions” nowadays so, I suggest you do what you want. Fuck’em.

So technically, couldn't you notify them via email or something then just immediately do what you want? It doesn't say you need their permission. Just that you need to notify them. Unless there is more...

It sounds like they're only concerned about lobbying on behalf of either your company or another "group". But you as an individual can still contact your officials and voice concerns, ask questions, etc. This policy doesn't seem to prevent that.

I am also barred from political contributions without their permission. Because of the industry that I'm in, I'm also not allowed to trade in the stock market without permission.

Can you give us the exact wording for these policies as well? I'm wondering if maybe you're misunderstanding these. I think that's more likely. In my experience at a large company, we have all sorts of policies as well but they don't affect me - it's just a matter of understanding what they're actually saying.

Do whatever the fuck you want. Fuck who don’t like it. How are they going to find out? What are they really going to do about it if they do? Sounds like a bunch of unenforceable hot air to me

I would think they would have to go and actively search for it though. I doubt they get a list every month of all the political contributions their employees make

I believe I've heard something similar before. See if this sounds familiar...

I am altering the deal, pray I do not alter it further.
