The good thing about America and individual liberty is that we can all be prepared without taking chances on joining groups of people we don't know. I'll know which of my neighbors I can likely depend on if a herd of rioters comes our way.

Very true. After a recent multi-day power outage, we definitely know who is prepared in our neighborhood and who is not. As you said, I’d rather rely on people I know than a mystery list of internet strangers.

No need for groups. Prepare yourself. Communicate with trusted family members or close friends only. When the shit comes, like-minded individuals will coalesce on their own.
This should be the most upvoted comment in this thread. Don't even associate with people that suggest you pick up a gun and use it for anything but defending yourself and your family. There isn't enough time to go into the laws, precedents and policies as to why. Antifa and other groups get away with it because they're ALLOWED TO. Most of these groups are honeypots and the people who abused the IRS to target conservatives are still employed and in charge there just as an example. Work out, get in shape, own the firearms you need for your own safety and that of your family. Prepare supplies for hurricane/noreasters/snowin/blackout/tornado and now, imo the inevitable, 2 month lock-in due to some pandemic. Check your CO2 and smoke detectors, change their batteries, make sure that old fire extinguisher next to your stove is working and buy a new one if it's old. Have a decent supply of medicine. Check that your documents are organized and you have a plan for a fire in the middle of a night or you need to run out of the house for whatever reason. Make sure you have your family and friends' contact information handy if you don't remember that off the top of your head. Hang out with like minded people and go out and vote. These are all things that are normal, whatever some Karen might tell you. Don't freak out and fall into the wrong side of the law or some honeypot that will ruin your life or get you blackmailed into even worse things. Take a deep breath, folks. Enemy fire is always concentrated when you're over the target. We'll be okay, no matter what happens if you prepare a little, stay cool and keep faith in your fellow man.
Well, here's the unfortunate reality check: an organized group will beat unorganized individuals every time, even if those individuals have superior weapons and training. There is only one of you, and your smoke detector isn't going to stop people from spray painting your house every night, breaking some windows, eventually maybe lighting it on fire a little. You'll get tired. You need to buy groceries, take your kid to the doctor. It's much easier to attach than defend. The left's footsoldiers are a bunch of unskilled loser pawns but they are fanatical, and its command structure is very well organized and has solid strategy and tactics. They can put 500 people in your neighborhood any time they want and you can't really do anything about it if it's just you. So... maybe you want to create a fake email and join a few groups just to pay attention.
I've been in this, I'm guessing, a lot longer than you. I've seen people like you get arrested and tried and they've been rotting in jail for a long time. This isn't the first time these things have happened. You're free to do what you want, I'm not stopping you. I hope anyone who considers joining you has thought about how much their legal fees will cost and they've made contingency plans for taking a month off work to hang out in a jail cell, set aside 20k for their pretrial and 100 to 250k for their actual trial. I'm sure you've thought all those things through and you're swimming in plenty of cash to finance this little armed revolution seeing how you have no idea how to actually collect intel on these groups. I'm sure you'll be the first to step up to the plate and donate money to the people you've inspired who will get the long arm of the law on them. Surely?
I think I'm a lot older than you think, and I didn't say to be stupid. But I've seen two countries fall to Marxist uprisings from up close and it looked very, very similar. So if you think you have a solid model for how bad things can get, I'd suggest that you check your premises.
Maybe we got off on the wrong foot. You're right about how dangerous these people are and I'm right about how the fbi treats patriots and honeypots in general and legal fees and all that. All I'm saying is start with a plan of action for your family, move on to talking to your neighbors and friends about these things in real life. Then when you have your needs covered and a working support group, maybe consider talking to strangers on the internet about these things? Antifa is dangerous. The people in government supporting antifa are even more dangerous. Neither one of us wants to allow what happend in those countries happen here in the U.S and yes, the radicals are following the same playbook they use to mess up all those other countries to try to gain power.
Oh, you're not wrong. Definitely always assume any of those groups are full of plants at the least. But it's a tricky situation; the left owns the institutions and will use them against us, but if we don't organize we are easily defeated. So the solution seems to be organize very, very carefully. Might be time for some neighborhood watches, a few historical clubs, maybe a chess club or too that occasionally has a more tactical focus. And you are right to point out that first people need to place their own houses in order. Then you can to look outside (and I would argue need to), but... be smart.

Not gonna happen. We have a very small political voice as it is. Its going to be even smaller pretty soon. Between voter fraud and demographic shifts, were not going to be voting shit out. The presidency was our last great political victory. We need to start thinking about change from a different angle. This system is irreparably broken. It hasn't worked for us in decades. The whole point of putting something like this together would be to deter something like them trying to RICO us with sheer numbers. The sad truth is that most of the people that are going to stand up to this shit aren't probably going to make it our of this alive. Most will not wake up to this until the lights go out though. That's why putting something like this together is almost impossible right now. Once more people start to realize we aren't going to win by continuing to participate in a rotten-to-the-core political system, it will be a little easier

You're not wrong. The left owns the institutions (including law enforcement) and will use them against you. But they also have organized foot soldiers and those two things together are sufficient to destroy a society. You have to be organized to defeat them, while the system will attack you for organizing. But that's the problem to be solved and if you don't solve it, they'll take your country (I've seen that happen and it is bad) so... We need to work the problem.
The solution, or solutions are fairly obvious. Let me make this clear, I am not an organizer or am I involved with any group. The time to create such a group was two or three years ago, as this takes time. Low tech, no phones in the room, word-of-mouth with people you trust. Right now I suggest feeling out friends and neighbors for a "mutual defense" agreement. For example SOS txt from Bob brings Bill, Dave and Roger over with their rifles. Sucks to be in a dense neighborhood, but find out who the wolves are and pack up. Have a plan, even if it's a shitty one. Identify your leadership, but be ready to pivot on that if they freeze up when shtf. Tactical BS is fine for larping, but knowing where Mom's meds are located is more useful than that molle vest. Look around with open eyes, make rational choices. Maybe trying to get out of a gridlocked city is smart, maybe granny or baby Joey would not make it and you need to shelter with friends. I really hate to even consider these kinds of things, hope it's all blowing over soon.
