I am a poll worker in PA. I got a chuckle a couple of times when people would state loudly "I don't want to vote for any democrats". People are very ignorant of politics. I found this out when I ran for schoolboard. Even after serving 8 years, people didn't know I was on the board.
Anyone out there running for office - go out door to door. Send flyers with a few easily remembered positions on there. Put out signs. Have a core group of supporters to help with social media. People are not interested enough to know much about their government.
As a nonMerican, I'm a bit ignorant about your process, but curious about something, if you wouldn't mind helping me out.
With people getting sent registration forms for the wrong party, would that only matter in the primary but not the general? They'll still always be able to vote for Trump, right?
That is correct. The party only matters in states that only let you vote in your parties primary. In the general election you can vote for anyone of any party.
Did you tell your neighbor that "no, your political party, as well as who you can vote for, is determined at birth by what skin color you come out with"?
I can't believe that people are this ignorant of the political process.
He didn't say he wouldn't help. He said he can't believe people are this ignorant.
It's not like our posts here are going to the guy.
What, tell OP that in fact, you can vote for either party in a general election?
He knows already.

Asked this in another thread but got no reply.

Wow, that'ls a little frightening, but I'm glad he's headed in the right direction.
I’d tell him to register Republican first
This is offensive, some of us Pennsylvania citizens aren't registered democrats
Saw two other people in my building getting Trump mail, in Manhattan!

You could’ve left out that he’s a register Democrat, because it’s already heavily implied.
