Good for you for standing your ground. I would suggest, after checking on your local laws, to carry around a digital voice recorder and record every meeting. Some states don’t allow recording unless the other party is notified, so check first. Recording how you’re treated will do wonders for the impending lawsuit.
Also an option to make it clear that this being is getting record for those who couldn't attend and to serve as an official record, and it to the minutes.
I do this now and it puts people in check, sometimes i reminded then they are being recorded
