I have been so disappointed by the church leadership during this time. Staying closed as they have, even though places of worship have been listed as an essential service.
Frankly, I don't call myself a Christian anymore. I have been so disgusted at the lack from the church and the "lay down and take it" attitude is sickening. Part of Christianity is fellowship.
A church I used to go to, I watched their live stream.
If I didn't know any better I thought the stream would have been that of a democrat political seminar.
They were fully endorsing lockdowns, saying that the government has every right to shut down churches, its not stripping our rights, we need to trust and obey our leaders, the 1st amendment is not unlimited, we need to accept it and not complain, and if you want to go to church in person you want to kill grandma. Actual words. Not paraphrasing.
And this isn't some liberal universal unitarian Church in a blue city, its a church in the affluent, white, conservative part of Louisville, KY.
They also had a sermon about black lives matter and it was what you would expect. Last time I ever watched the stream.
When church leaders spew the words of the Ggvernment instead of the words of God, the faithful should turn their backs on those leaders as they are not leading by word of God anymore.
Only church I've found with a TRULY anointed pastor with the courage we need in these times is Jack Hibbs. Pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills. I watch their live streams every week. Funny enough, they are located in California.
