I don't make my decisions on who should or should not vote based on whether they will for for my guy or not, I make them based on whether I see them as right or wrong decisions.
I think that if someone commits a crime, does his time, and maintains a clean record for a certain amount of time afterward (say, probation period + 10 years as an example) they can be safely considered to be rehabilitated and allowed to regain the societal privileges that was lost upon criminal conviction.
Will it hurt my guy because some felons will regain their voting rights? Sure. But so does giving the minorities the right to vote, giving women the right to vote, or even giving anyone other than white land-owners the right to vote. A person's voting preference has nothing to do with whether they should be able to vote or not.
Seriously it was like 65%, WTF Florida? Do you think felons are voting GOP?

Felons aren't voting period. It's just a ploy to stuff the ballot boxes with Dem votes. Same as with dead people still being on the voter rolls.
Maybe if they have a felony conviction for owning an "illegal" short barreled rifle.
