The craziest part was to read comments on Twitter and see how many other African Americans agreed with what they said and were angry at them for walking back their comments.
I guess just crazy to me because I always assumed it was "white man keeping me down," but not, "white man keeping me down... because we are the chosen race and are superior and they don't want me to know it." And then to see how many had that extreme of a view. Eye opening.
That's not crazy. I've been tuned into that stuff for over a decade. I've had coworkers talk to me about their Egyptian ancestors being space Pharoahs and shiiiit. It is extremely widespread, I'd say it is the predominant belief system in urban areas.
I mean, it's exactly what he was talking about. When you tell an entire demographic of people that they "can't be racist" because their skin color -- then stupid shits like Nick Cannon start showing up.
