By experience, that is the same size, or more, of the files that the IRS has on every person.... found out because of a full field audit. Thank God, the gov allows each person to request all files for their defense. It was so daunting. They have every phone call, text message, transactions, and if you found a fucking penny on the ground, they know if you threw it in a jar, spent it, or just bought something.
I went through that type of intimidation in traffic court, which isn’t nearly the same scale as your incident. It taught me that they bank on that sort of thing, you being afraid of the big, bad government.
Yup, well remember Lois Lerner during Obama’s “scandal free” terms. Must be nice to commit crimes and then simply retire so you don’t face any consequences. But I’m just one serf in the great unwashed masses...
I don't want to get too detailed, but when the agent started requesting things we gave her a year before, and a demand to go into my home, I went balistic. Lawyer, accountant and hubby told me to back off. I did not.. I told her to bring it on, but I would sue her and have her boss agree or not and we can go to full court procedings. I could not believe they backed off. My lawyer and accountant could not believe it either. I KNEW we did not do anything wrong, and so did they. $45,000 in the hole, but I didn't go to jail, nor have to pay the bogus $400,000 made up tax charges against us.. And in the end, the IRS allowed us provisions to recoup the bogus claims they had against us in the following year.
Good Lord, that's a nightmare! Good for you standing up for what was right, and I totally understand your feelings on the matter. It's not just the $$ it's the principle of it.
Again, apples and oranges but in my case, they pushed and pushed for me to plead and seek deferred adjudication and pay the fine. 7+ hours sitting there, 6 of which were AFTER the DA had asked to have the case dropped and the judge declined. When I pushed back and said I'd demand a jury trial, "miraculously" they decided to drop the charge.
They should have old clips of Acosta saying stupid crap and have it queued up so when he asks a stupid question they could like show a clip of him being dumb👈😀🇺🇸
Kayleigh’s binder full of facts > Mitten’s binders full of women

That’s scary as hell, but I don’t doubt it for a second. ☹️
I was terrified by the words of the agent (oh, hey, 2011, Lois Lerner maybe?) but with saved $$ and TRUTH, we prevailed.
