I wonder if this will be the turning of the tide or just more defeat on the mask issue.

I see it playing out one of 3 ways:

  1. Cut and dried decision that the governor's orders are a higher authority. Kemp wins in a decision that is strictly based on law. This is the "right" answer, but unlikely in today's political climate.
  2. Bottoms wins because she pushes the idea that this is a special circumstance, and how masks save lives. She parades special guest "experts" to drive her point home and the judge sides with her. Obviously, worst outcome, but typical business as usual the way things have been going.
  3. Kemp is prepared for Bottoms' special guests and has experts of his own. They push how masks can only keep an infected person from spreading the disease, and only to a small degree. The judge listens to reason and the details prove that masks don't really work, or not to a degree that it even matters. This outcome would be the best. The unraveling of all the stupid mask/covid nonsense as we point out the folly of virtue signaling on it.

Hard to say which will come to pass. Bottom's is being so boldly stubborn it's as though she has a trick up her sleeve.
