I don't partake, and consider drug use degenerate, but if you can manage it and you're not hurting yourself or anyone else, then fundamentally I agree with you right to choose for yourself if you want to do it.
I mean it is pot so no, not hurting anyone nor myself. I even have quit for the month so I can get a real job. If I can start again I'm totally going to.
I smoke everyday and work with very physical labor and workout every day. Smoking weed isnt degenerate behaviour, but there are a lot of degenerates that smokes, and people think that they're the majority.
What do you consider a drug? It doesn't have very much in common with most of the other substances classified as "drugs", IMO.
Cannabis is a natural plant that grows out of the ground and has never killed anyone. No one sucks dick for weed. No one is in the gutter due to weed use.
The Bible contains a recipe for the oil they used for the anointing ritual, practiced by Jesus in the New Testament as well as many others. Several pounds of cannabis is listed as an ingredient.
I wonder if Jesus knew the oil had been "drugged". /s
You're welcome to your opinions of course, but I'm not sure how cannabis even qualifies as a drug.
Do you really want to live in a country where your government has the power to tell you which plants you can grow on your own land for your own use?
I don't think we should be worried about, and I damn sure don't want a dime of my tax money used to pay for, regulating what type of plants people can grow on their land. The fact that we gave this liberty up so easily still bothers me.
I thought conservatives would support such a stance but when it comes to weed we get crickets and reefer madness.
They are putting pedos in dresses into schools for "story hour", we've got little boys being pimped out as drag queens for degenerates and being openly celebrated for it, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria, and we can't evolve on something as relatively harmless as cannabis and find common ground as conservatives for some reason.
I appreciate your thoughts, and I'll keep in mind it's a rant, but I also want to try and respond to some of your points, in good faith.
What do you consider a drug? It doesn't have very much in common with most of the other substances classified as "drugs", IMO.
It has identifiable active ingredients, with strong, identifiable physiological/psychological effects, and it is not consumed for nutritional purposes. I think your argument here is completely wrong, but feel free to clarify your definition of drug.

What about deaths due to impairment from it? No one has crashed a car while high? No one has had accidents on machinery while high? I will grant you that weed doesn't directly harm your health (except maybe if you smoke it - that can't be good for the lungs). But, the impairment it causes can definitely cause issues, if the user doesn't respect the limits it puts on them.
I'll skip the religious stuff, as I am not.

No, I don't, and that's why, fundamentally, I respect your right to choose for yourself. I agree with what you're saying here. I'm not advocating banning weed, I just don't (personally) like it. More on my reasons for this later.
I thought conservatives would support such a stance but when it comes to weed we get crickets and reefer madness.
Because weed isn't as simple as you think it is. People have reasons for the beliefs they hold. Maybe the behavioral effects of weed put people off? Maybe they don't like the smell? Maybe some people don't consider using recreational drugs a good thing? They have their reasons, try to understand them. And yes, "reefer madness" is stupid. When I tried it, I had a good time and was chill as fuck - homicidal urges aside (just kidding). But like I said before, it DOES impair you, and denying that is irrational. Yes, I know about oils and less-/non-impairing ways to consume it, I'm not talking about those means of consumption here.

Sure, but none of those things mean we can't debate other things at the same time, and like I said, people have their reasons to oppose weed. For me it boils down to not considering it a positive to be under the influence of something unless necessary. I used to drink more too, but as I get older, anything that influences my mind just seems pointless. I'd rather build up my mental fortitude to deal with the world, and be "me" all the time. Of course people aren't perfect, and I do have my own vices, but I think the ideal should be to NOT need such things. I am NOT denying you the choice, but I have my own reasons for choosing NOT to partake.
There's a lot of hate on weed here it's kinda dumb, but whatever, people are entitled to their own opinion.
Yup, it's the price of free speech. There's a lot of hate around here on things that I like, too, but I just accept that, rightly or wrongly, some people don't agree wth me, and move on.
I think smoking weed is bad...if you are unemployed and on anti-depressants (paid for by others obviously). I smoke weed almost every day. The difference is I have a job, and a family who I love and support. I'm also not a filthy fucking commie faggot.
The weed alone is no big deal at all. It's when someone smokes 24/7 and whines about their shitty life that is the problem. I've seen lazy peices of trash use weed and seen very successful people use it too.
I don't even know where to get it anymore so it's just once in a while. Getting a "medical card" has severe restrictions on my 2A rights so that's not gonna work for me. I prefer self-defense capability over getting stoned lol, no question about that.
I got my degree in Electrical Engineering. There were over a hundred companies coming to interview us at the college of engineering. Most every EE including me had a job to go to before we even graduated.
We didn't act to stop the libertine corruption of the state departments, and so this is what came out. because Government making the choices for people is not Capitalism.
Government has succeeded, because Government in essences is hyper efficient at two things, making people Poor and Killing people.
Capitalism has been failed by Government intervention, and its intervention was a success. Government succeeded at producing what it always produces results of Poverty and Death.
That last line could also read "now let me explain the virtues of socialism"
Or, "now let me de-escalate this tense hostage situation with slam poetry."
I smoke weed too lol
But I work and paid off my school loans (community college FTW) and I don't act like a stoner.
I'm all about having a legalized and regulated marijuana industry in the US, fuck the cartels.

/Rant over
Weed is 100% a drug.
I appreciate your thoughts, and I'll keep in mind it's a rant, but I also want to try and respond to some of your points, in good faith.

Oh yeah I agree with you they have a right to their opinion.
I think smoking weed is bad...if you are unemployed and on anti-depressants (paid for by others obviously). I smoke weed almost every day. The difference is I have a job, and a family who I love and support. I'm also not a filthy fucking commie faggot.
We need a MAGADABBERS dom.
Don't worry u/doggos I'm just joking.
Yeah .. and fuck the cartels that make the laws that enable the cartels.
And the horse they rode in on.

No, not at all. Working as intended.
Capitalism is SPECIFICALLY designed to make useless idiots like that guy in the picture fail at life.
Interesting perspective.
'Daddy pays all my bills'
Hey based stoners exist too! Smoking weed and being a failure are not tied together.
With an iPhone in one hand and a Starbucks in the other. Such a hard life for a man child.
I got my degree in Electrical Engineering. There were over a hundred companies coming to interview us at the college of engineering. Most every EE including me had a job to go to before we even graduated.
Go figure.....
Well, capitalism made me afford to pay 30-35$/g for weed during corona scamdemic

Why not just skip the extra steps and go get a job you hate.
That is what will happen under socialism anyway. Except you'll also be hungry and share your house with 5 homeless dudes.
