We make dick for how much we actually work. Although I'm also a coach so I regularly pull 70+ hour weeks during season.
I have yet to wear a mask and I won't even though our gov just mandated we do. Fine me bitch, I'll see you in court.
I'm dying to get back to school and normalcy. Yes, there are many bad teachers (just like all professions have bad apples), but there are also a ton of good ones who work their asses off for little pay and quite obviously no respect from the general public as evidenced by most of the comments here.
Those teachers unions in California can suck a dick. I don't want any of that shit, I just want to be able to go to work and do my job and not have the government try and control my life.
I'm so sick of the "what about me" shit these teachers are pulling it makes me want to puke. Nut up and do your fucking job or quit. Nobody owes you anything. Plus there's pretty much ZERO evidence of transmission from children to adults. You're safe, go to fucking work.
By chance are you a teacher in Texas? I too have the same sentiment. I’m a man who teaches in elementary in the DFW area and am surrounded by these whining-ass women, although not all of them, that prefer to stay home. I too am tired of being lumped with the asshole teachers who prefer to do jack shit and still get paid rather than be physically in the building.
I too want to return to normalcy but the recent update by Judge Jenkins and Dr. Huang that kids won’t be allowed back to the building has thrown any plan of reopening a goddamn curve ball.
Anyways, props to you for being level-headed and actually caring for your profession. Have a good one pede!
