Agreed. That's why I always talk about how the communists are actively subverting the youth through this country's (previously great) universities.
I am an astrophysicist at a 40,000 student university.
I get 2-3 emails every week from my university president and the "Office of Diversity and Inclusion" (aka Office of Disability Services) about bullshit communist topics like:
white privilege (not real)
diversity (not a strength)
women in STEM (who cares, just do your job)
intersectionality (piss-poor Marxist interpretation of personality types)
wEaR tHe mAsK BiGoT (no, you fucking faggot)
etc.
I wonder how much greater our reputation as a research university could be if the administration thought only about research, productivity, and greatness.
Instead they spend countless man hours (reeeeeeeeeeee) going on and on and on and on and on and on and on about this bullshit.
I will never donate a penny to my college. They charged me hundreds of dollars an hour to brainwash me. If I didnt complete their leftist "electives" to their liking, I couldnt receive my stem degree. 60% of the classes I was required to take had nothing to do with my desired career. I paid $200,000 for a rubber stamp on things I taught myself. When I think about my college experience I feel like I was robbed.
I have. Not much, but when I could I did. I had a couple alumni literally pay rent once when going to undergrad. I regret giving now. Next time I’ll put the legwork in go directly to the student, or maybe just give to Hillsdale. They got their shit together.
I long since told my alma mater to fuck off. Never donated a nickel to them. During my attendance, I watched them slowly turning into a politically-correct wingnut campus. And that was a quarter-century ago!
I worked for my alumni fund in college and had to call people to ask for money. I talked to one guy who said there were anti-war protestors during VietNam on campus and he didn't want to support that stuff. I told him no one I knew was political and the communist who came to campus to pass out pamphlets was completely ignored. He made a donation for the first time. I wonder if I could say the same thing now.
Yeah never gave a cent. It’s laughable. Even before they did the whole oil divestment bs years ago and the constant green energy this, and oppressed black Latin x that.
They should never have donated anything to start.
I traveled the entire colonic cavity of academia all the way through my PhD and more.
I would never donate a single penny to any of the institutions I attended.

Communism is cancer.

Serious question: who here donates to their alma mater? And why? I don't see a point to it.

NOPE = not one penny extra.

Good cause, but Turning Point USA is run by neo-cons and never-Trumpers.
Yeah.Charlie Kirk confuses me with his rhetoric at times.

Even if you DID like your old school, why are you giving them money? They already charged you out the ass to go there in the first place.
I did that years ago. Let the University President know why and his response was “We can take you off of our email list.”
I've never donated a lot, but I stopped 2 years ago.
When the university I went to hit me up for donations, I laughed and threw that shit in the garbage. Why the fuck would I ever give them another cent?

Defund Communist Education NOW.
