Schools are the BEST tool the left has. They get to indoctrinate your children for 12+ years. I don't think many people know how bad it is, even people on here. What they teach and how they teach it are all designed to make kids obedient to government. Just because you made it out not being an NPC, doesn't mean that others will, and I can guarantee you are more pro state than you would have been. (Pm me if you want me to prove it.)

Why are we fighting to give them this tool back?

primarily because the economy never opens back up properly without the schools being open

This is true but as long as kids are home, parents can't go back to work and the economy will not come back like we need it to.

That makes sense. Hopefully people wake up to see that school is more than just a day care.

Because we have the following problems:

  • our taxes are still paying for it

  • people can’t go back to work if their kids are at home and can’t afford 40 hours a week of daycare

they want free childcare so they can go to work. I wanted it too. But that was also many years ago

Because the same logic to keeping kids out of school buildings applies to in person voting. It is NOT about the kids or the schools or the virus.

Because liberals don't want it to happen. I don't really need a better reason than that. Your argument presumes they aren't still teaching this non-sense if they stay closed.

"Closed" is a relative term see all it means is virtual classes. And teachers get to sit at home all day doing nothing and the schools still collect the full amount of money they normally get from the Government even though they no longer have to pay for the food of thousands of students everyday.

They no longer have to pay bus drivers. They no longer have to pay Janitors They no longer have to pay nurses. They no longer have to pay counselors and so on and so forth. The districts are just pocketing that excess money not being spent.

I'm not really advocating to reopen, just for Trump to cut them off if they stay closed and make no mistake they WILL stay closed and I'd love to see them all go the way of the Dodo when the money runs out.

My brother is a teacher. Teacher’s are taking a 10% pay cut in his district because towns are not taking in enough revenue in order to pay teachers because people are not paying enough to the town through taxes and fees, etc. It’s a circular firing squad.

He would rather go back to work and have his daughter go back to school (she wants to go back, too!)

Your first sentence makes no sense. If they are making a mistake(for their cause), why fight them?

Well it does suck that schools have become what they have, but kids in early elementary school are at one of their most important developmental stages and any time missed can really set them back.

Set them back from what? Kids come out of government schools knowing next to nothing except for Marxist bs.

Im talking about young kids dude. Like kindergarten and first graders. Kids learning basic math and reading and writing. You can only do so much of it when you work and kids are better focused for teachers sometimes.

Maybe they start marxist shit that early in blue states but in my red state kids still just learn the basics in elementary school.

I can guarantee you they are learning Marxist ideas, if not just collectivism in general. Maybe not kindergarten but by 1st grade for sure- Sit down, shut up, memorize what I say, then repeat it back. It doesn't matter about your individual needs.

I get it that it is tough to manage working and teaching your kids. In the long run it is infinitely better to have a hand in raising your kids. Either through home school, unschool, a co-op, etc. It is difficult now, but people adapt and come up with much better solutions to raise their kids. Short term it is hard, long term, it is a great thing for individualism. Libs are making a huge mistake. Take your kids back from the state.

No. Not even close to essential. There are 100s of different options for kids to learn than government indoctrination.

Before government schools kids were much better educated for much less money around $50 usd in current dollars.

They have much less control when the school is online.
