I got a hybrid, and I'd be more than happy to ditch gas and just use my own house power to charge, but battery capacity just isn't where it needs to be practically.
Why hinder an industry, just invest in developing better tech so its cheaper and more cost effective to buy an electric car.
I don't want to hinder the industry. There was better tech for a cheaper price available at the time. The Volt was at best a failure, and at worst a boondoggle.
I believe in the end each unit sold, cost the tax payer $256,000.
