You know, it was alleged over and over again back on TD that the subscriber count and post karma were being heavily manipulated and brigaded.
I don't know what the subscriber number is here now, but I'm not seeing any top posts here with 15, 20, 30K upvotes. I expected to start seeing really high numbers here without the manipulation and brigading that was (allegedly) occurring on Reddit. So now that it's free from suppression, where are the numbers to correspond? I'm not seeing it. A 7K top post is not much different than we saw on TD. Am I wrong?
Not wrong at all. It was obviously heavily exaggerated because even it was mildly exaggerated we would be seeing way higher numbers than we do currently. You have to take most things you see on Reddit and even here with a grain of salt. A lot of headlines are constantly exaggerated or misconstrued from T_D to R/Politics. It is up to the individual to actually look into the story to see the whole picture.
