They passed a very restrictive list of crimes that can be used to hold somebody in jail.

As 2 examples......a guy robbed banks 4 times I think it was....no jail.

Woman had 3 black on white/Jew attacks over a few days....they just let her go.

All was reported in the NY Post.

Now you're talking about 2 different things: being denied bail holds you in jail until your trial and sentencing if found guilty. If you're released on your own own recognizance (with or without bail) you're expected to come back for your trial.

It sounds like you're saying these cases had NO charges pressed? Not even expecting them to come back to Court for anything.

They had charges pressed. There is just a very restrictive type of crime that you can be jailed for in NY. They pushed far forward with getting rid of cash bail.
